Highland Whiskey Liqueur Cake

In October 1999 Asher the bakers launched a range of single malt Whisky Cakes, which won the Scottish Gift of the Year Award 2000. Delicious fruit cakes laced with single malt whisky from the Highlands.

Whisky Cakes
Ingredients:
Sultanas (20%), Currants (18%), Egg, Wheatflour (with added calcium, iron, niacin and thiamine), Unsalted Butter, Malt Whisky (7%), Mixed Peel (7%), (orange peel, glucose-fructose syrup, saccharose, lemon peel, preservative: Sulphur dioxide), Cherries (4.5%) (cherries, glucose-fructose syrup, acidity regulator: citric acid, preservative:Sulphur dioxide, natural colours), Brown Sugar, Granulated Sugar, Vegetable Shortening (palm oil, rape seed oil, emulsifier:mono- and diglycerides of fatty acids ), Humectant: glycerine, Malt Flour (wheat), Salt, Mixed Spice.
